Large Specialty Contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join their team.
As an HVAC PM you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
on complex commercial / light industrial builds in the Northern Virginia market.
This is a leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of HVAC technicians and subcontractors
- Ensure that all HVAC projects are completed on time and within budget
- Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including labor hours, materials used, and equipment maintenance
- Train and mentor junior HVAC technicians
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Supervisor or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- Familiarity with schematics, Civil 3D, construction estimating, project scheduling, project coordination, Bluebeam, construction management software (e.
g.
, Primavera, ProCore)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's license
