Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform nursing procedures such as wound care, IV insertion, and tube feeding
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare management and disease prevention
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic
- Assist in the coordination of patient care, including scheduling appointments and arranging for referrals
- Adhere to all nursing standards and protocols to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Proven experience in acute pain management, sonography, family planning, home care, senior care, and ICD-10 coding
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to lift and move patients safely using proper body mechanics
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
