Risk, Threat, and Supply Chain Database Lead

Exiger is building a Risk Threat Intelligence Team that will use our tools, data, and research to create a proprietary database that maps supply chains and highlights risks and threats.
For this new team, we are seeking a candidate who thinks creatively to solve complex problems to support our mission and continue helping us innovate to meet market needs.
The current focus is to gather, synthesize, analyze, review documents, scrape websites, and find other ways to compile risk and threat data as well as entity linkages, to be built into a structured database for ingestion in our technology solutions.
The immediate focus is on human rights, raw materials, and supply chain relationships.
The candidate will be the first to take on this responsibility at Exiger and thus will need to establish new processes and procedures.
Over time, the plan is for the candidate to oversee other analysts in researching, monitoring, manipulating, and analyzing data, while recommending ways to improve our processes and ensure the quality of our solutions.
The candidate will coordinate and collaborate across all business units to accomplish their goals.
The ideal candidate will have entrepreneur-like qualities and a passion for collaborative problem solving.
They will possess at least intermediate skills in data analysis and data management tools and techniques, and be able to quickly learn Exiger's proprietary tools such as DDIQ.
The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and research capabilities.
Exiger is seeking a hands-on leader willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
The successful candidate must be an energetic professional who will advocate for the company and establish and maintain relationships with colleagues across the company.
What you will do: Provide high-quality work product as needed while also providing insights and recommendations to other team members where applicable Review and document key relationship (supply chain) information from Exiger products to build a structured database Leverage DDIQ to gather human rights violations allegations or other risk information to include in the structured database Research and learn about risks of interest by market type, thinking creatively of other information valuable to our clients Perform research on topics and risks to include in the database Formally document processes to make the role teachable, repeatable, and scalable Project manage multiple tasks as needed to efficiently expand the database Provide oversight and support to junior analysts as needed, including potentially serving as a performance manager when the team grows Prepare presentations and reporting as needed for internal stakeholders Provide situational awareness to leadership and business units throughout Exiger Lead by example What you will need: Bachelor's degree Minimum one year of experience (professional or academic) researching, identifying, and analyzing geopolitical risks, and a high geopolitical IQ Experience using research and industry tools to analyze data At least intermediate-level skills with Excel Experience with data visualization tools or techniques Ability and desire to learn and master the tools relevant to Exiger's capabilities, with existing proficiency in Exiger products a plus Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to write and speak clearly and succinctly, and to brief internal and external stakeholders as needed Ability to prioritize assignments and work under pressure Strong interpersonal skills with effective and positive leadership qualities We're an amazing place to work.
