We are currently seeking a customer centric Customer Account Manager.
The Customer Account Manager (CAM) is responsible for the maintenance of agency executive level relationships and works closely with the agencies to converge agency IT functions with their business needs and long-term goals.
The Customer Account Manager works with Commonwealth Executive Branch agencies, Higher Education institutions, and localities to understand their mission, business, strategic plans, future IT requirements, and how each integrates into the Commonwealth IT Strategic Plan.
Minimum Qualifications Comprehensive business, technical, and relationship management skills.
Knowledge and understanding of information technology infrastructure, applications, software and end user products and services.
Skilled in building effective professional relationships across a broad spectrum of roles to include customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and service providers; delivering effective oral and written communications and ability to present technical information to non-technical professionals.
Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous activities with competing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, direct, and manage resources and activities in order to align multi-faceted teams to common goals and objectives to meet customer requirements and commitments.
Knowledge of Secretariat and Agency missions and business strategies will become an expectation as you grow in this role.
Strategic thinking ability to assist with finalizing road maps for agencies that align with and clearly outline long-term thinking, imagination, innovation, and idea generation, while being aligned with business needs.
Ability to focus, apply assertiveness, and diplomacy.
Agency advocacy for quality service fulfillment and continual improvement of the Customer experience.
Highly developed communication skills, ability, and comfort with working at executive levels.
Additional Considerations Knowledge of VITA products and services and willingness to collaborate as needed with the Business Platform Solutions Services team as necessary as new Services are rolled out.
Knowledge and awareness of the Multisourcing Service Integrator (MSI) model and its functionality; Comprehensive knowledge of strategic planning activities for purposes of assisting agencies on a biennium basis with the formalization of their code-mandated IT Strategic Plan; Knowledge of VITA’s related policies and procedures for acquisition, operation and maintenance of Commonwealth of Virginia information technology services, all while ensuring collaboration with all of the necessary internal stakeholders; Knowledge of VITA and Commonwealth Policies and Procedures.
Knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies is desirable/ Functional experience dealing with business Customers.
Experience facilitating development and implementation of business initiatives/projects based on agency’s missions, goals and management objectives and key results.
Business Relationship Management certification (BRMP and CBRM) is desirable.
