*Overview:*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare professional to join our team.
As a Daycare Director, you will play a crucial role in caring for and educating young children.

*Duties:*
- Oversee the daily operations of the center while following all standards and regulations set forth by the Virginia Department of Education and the Department of Social Services
- Work collaboratively with the Owners, Assistant Director and other daycare staff
- Supervise all teachers and delegate responsibilities
- Maintain communications between the following; owners, daycare staff and parents via email, phone and face to face interactions
- Plan and implement daily schedules for daycare staff
- Design program details and monthly calendars for all children that promote learning and development
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children in the daycare
- Monitor teacher's children's behavior and address any behavioral issues using effective behavior management techniques
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
*Skills:*
- Daycare Programmatic experience in management is required
- Ability to manage and delegate responsibilities for a staff of at least 20 employees
- Experience working with children in a daycare or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to educate and engage students in age-appropriate activities
- Ability to communicate with parents
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- First aid/CPR, and MAT certifications are required
- Strong caregiving skills, including patience, empathy, and understanding
- Problem Solving Skills
- General computer knowledge and/or the ability to learn computer programs
- Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required
- Experience or knowledge in special education is a plus but not required
