2003 Alabom XLS.
The top Avalon of its time.
Very smooth riding vehicle.
Pros:
I have out about $6-7k of work into this car in the last year with receipts and warranty for work and the used ending that I had to replace due to a shop messing up my old one by putting engine cleaner in.
Parts:
All drive belts, timing belt, water pump, battery, alternator, shocks and struts, brakes, rotors all new within the last 6 mos.
These are the major components to the vehicle so it should be good to go for a while.
Cons:
The car is a 2003 and is not new.
It has some dents and scrapes.
I mainly was using it as a workhorse beater to keep miles off my new car but I decided to sell her because I wanted a fun weekend car.
One other con is that there is a slow loss of coolant.
.
.
it's nothing major.
.
.
it may even just be a new coolant reservoir seal.
I just have so much invested in the car that I'm not putting any other money into it.
The car has never overheated and it's a very slow loss.
With all the work ive bad done with receipts, I'm taking a loss, but you don't have any major work for this one.
Would make a good first car for someone or a second car or beater, or if you have a couple of dollars to get the dings and dents out it's actually a very nice and smooth riding vehicle.
Toyotas last forever.
183k on the odometer, but the replacement engine has around 160K and still has about 2 1/2 years of the warranty left.
I'm fairly firm on the price only because if all the work that has been done.
