Vintage Lisle wooden box finger joint corners metal corner covers - $5 (MECHANICSVILLE)

Old wooden box, believe it's red oak, has Lisle logo decal on front.
Finger joint with metal corner protectors & metal hinges.
Just over 31" long x 6" x 5".
Unknown what it held, perhaps some sort of sewing stuff.
