The FP&A Staff Analyst is an integral part of the overall Finance Team and will work closely with FP&A Service Line Leads to support to a variety of financial focus areas in alignment with the firm’s overall financial goals.
As a Staff Analyst, you can expect a dynamic and consistently evolving slate of projects that will require you to leverage your critical thinking and analytical skills – in short, no two days will be the same.

As an FP&A Staff Analyst, your day(s) will consist of, but not be limited to: Performing financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking Analyzing financial data and create financial models for decision support Reporting on financial performance and supporting preparation for regular leadership reviews Engaging in the annual budgeting process to help establish financial budgets Analyzing past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and making recommendations for improvements Working closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts Supporting effective cost management by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures Providing analysis of trends and forecasts and recommending actions for optimization Identifying and driving process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards Increasing productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools What you bring to the role: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics required Minimum of 1+ years of business finance, public accounting, or other relevant experience Proficiency in financial modeling techniques Demonstrated proficiency with advanced Excel formulas and functions Strong analytical and data gathering skills Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, including written and oral communication skills Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently Additional, nice to have qualifications: Exposure to cloud-based accounting software such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite or SAP Practical experience with data visualization Familiarity with business process automation (BPA) and/or robotic process automation (RPA) tools and techniques About Cherry Bekaert Cherry Bekaert, ranked among the largest assurance, tax and advisory firms in the U.

The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $77,250.
Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
