The Allen Law Firm, a leader in protecting the injured for generations, is seeking a seasoned accountant to join our *growing* Firm.
Located in our Richmond, VA office, this position will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to scope, plan, staff, execute and manage day-to-day functions of the Finance Department.
The ideal candidate is both detail and deadline oriented, and will demonstrate the ability to leverage revenue recognition and data analysis to provide strategic support to the department, while also offering hands-on guidance to their team.
In this role, you will:
Oversee and assign all incoming financial requests for disposition to the team of Case Account Specialists, including requests for deposits, trust disbursements, and the creation of rough draft and final case cost documentation.
Identify, record and enforce policies and procedures for various accounting functions, performing regular audits to verify compliance, making corrections and providing re-training as needed.
Manage a team of eight (8) direct reports and champion a collaborative, communicative, results-oriented team environment - emphasizing productivity and efficiency in daily matters.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related field.
4 years' experience in an Accounting or Finance-related role within a professional services organization (advertising, consulting, etc.
)
Experience managing the work of others to include assessing workload and process efficiency, the re-allocation of tasks and general performance management
