Controller

*Position Overview:* The Controller will be a key member of the leadership team.
This individual will be responsible for all accounting and finance functions within the company for multiple entities and locations and must have a hands-on approach.
This person will provide leadership oversight of a growing team of 4.
*Responsibilities:* .
Perform daily cash management duties, including supervising all accounts payable and receivables .
Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end close .
Prepare and present monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP .
Coordinate and process company payroll in a timely manner .
Develop and ensure the accounting policies, procedures and internal controls are performed effectively and recommend and implement ongoing improvements.

Provide ongoing financial analysis support to the management team .
General ledger management .
Revenue and expenditure variance analysis .
Fixed asset management .
Debt activity tracking .
Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions .
Assist CPA firm with income tax matters *Desired Experience & Attributes:* .
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required .
Experience in an industrial or transportation industry preferred .
Proven working experience as Controller, Accounting Manager or Accounting Supervisor .
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting with 3+ years of managerial experience required .
Multiple entity experience, intercompany transactions preferred .
High attention to detail and accuracy .
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data .
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in fast-paced, results oriented environment .
Advanced computer skills on MS Office (primarily Excel) and QuickBooks .
A proven ability to work in a privately held, team-oriented environment .
Strong customer service orientation, with a willingness to share knowledge Job Type: Full-time Pay: $72,000.
